“I desire to create visual images that communicate a clear spiritual presence, whether it be landscape or stilllife. I am not speaking of any religion as such, but of the mystery and beauty of the natural world. I rely on visual memory, dreams, and feelings for these images of landscape which are often based on a real place but are imaginary to the degree that I only seek to capture a feeling about the place and communicate it to the viewer. My current work in acrylics with the Agave Series has opened new doors of exploration and expanse into abstraction based on organic form.”
